Advantages: Tastes lovely and is healthy!

Disadvantages: None at all

I absolutely love hot chocolate drinks but watching my weight at the moment and generally trying to get fit and healthy means out the window has gone my usual full fat variety of my favourite and in came this! I bought this in a sachet to try opposed the the large plastic tub I saw (200g for £2.15) cos I didn't know whether I'd like it or not so opted as I said for this sachet priced at a more reasonable 36p to simply have a go with and see how I got on before purchasing the bigger size!

The Packaging....

Well whether it be in the tub or in the sachet they look like the same brand, contain the same information and has the same colour scheme going on! So it's a white and black plastic long oblong sachet with a picture of a rather smug looking cow on the front lol. On the front I'm told it is Skinny Cow Instant Indulgent Chocolate flavour and I'm told to empty the sachet into a mug and fill it with hot but not boiling water and stir it well. I'm also told it is HVO free (?) ad that it contains only 37 calories per drink and the bar-code is displayed, oddly enough o the front lol. On the back of the sachet ingredients and nutritional information is given, contact details for Skinny Cow are given, the size is stated (10g in this particular case and that's one serving), the recycle symbol is displayed as is the best before date stamped on and that is that. Nice, simple sachet to open and dispose of and you know that the amount of product you have is a serving size so it's simply up to you to get the water measurement right.

Making It....

Easy peasy and as directed. Add just boiled water to it and stir it like a mad un to blend it well. You end up with a dark chocolate brown and slightly glossy liquid which really smells very gorgeously of sweet chocolate.

I loved this drink. Distinctively chocolate flavour and no hint of anything else I had my drink perfectly blended. I liked the 'body' it had to it and the fact it was a little bit thicker than chocolate flavoured water. It's nicely sweet though tastes naturally so and leaves no horrible nasty after-taste after drinking it either.

Verdict....

Can't believe this only contains a mere 37 calories per drink. Like I said earlier I'm watching my weight and not eating junk food etc but already I'm getting cravings for sweet stuff and one thing I feel I would miss is chocolate if I had to completely give it up. Well not now I don't. This is a lovely, simple and tasty quick fix to those cravings and doesn't sit on me hips after-wards. Love it, it's lush!
