Well it's certainly getting into the cold weather, and since i'm not much of a Hot Drink person, I tend to stock up on the only Hot Drink I really like, which is Hot Chocolate. I normally stuck to Options, but seeing the Skinny Cow range recently, I ended up getting a few sachets.
For those of you not familiar with the Skinny Cow range, i've only seen the branding on Ice Creams. They are low fat and low calorie treats that can be enjoyed as part of a calorie controlled diet.
You can buy this drink in 10g sachets, which cost about 35p. Each sachet is 1 serving. You can also get this in a 200g plastic tub which costs around the £2 mark. I've tried the Mint Chocolate one and the Milk Chocolate one.
The packaging is alright for this. The plastic tub has a wrap around label which has a Cow print pattern on it with the white and black splodges. The Skinny Cow logo in on the front as well, and I think it looks alright. The individual servings are in a slim rectangular sachet which you just rip open at the top.
You just add this to hot water. The sachet is already measured for you, but you just scoop a teaspoon from the plastic tub for the measurement. Just stir into the hot water and serve.
1 serving of this has 37 calories and 1.5g fat.
This is a nice hot drink. I think I prefer the Milk Chocolate one to the Mint one, as I think it tastes bubblier. The taste of this is sweet and doesn't taste like a diet product. It isn't overly sweet and not quite as Milky as say Cadbury's Hot Chocolate, but it is really nice.
Pop a few sachets in your trolly when shopping and try for yourself.
