Advantages: Taste like apples, cheap, no overpowering alcohol taste

Disadvantages: Apparently a weak alcohol content (dunno if this is bad though!)

I've never been much of a drinker! I usually find I hate the taste and the alcohol is pretty much the only thing I can taste. When I went to my prom, I was convinanced by my classmates to try some shots. The first and second roudns bought were Sambucca. Although I managed to swallow and keep down my first shot, althoguh I'm still positive I swallowed the second one it ended up down the front of my dress. I then tried Archers as a shot, but although that was better I still didn't like it.

Then I went to a party a few days later, where I had a shot of apple sourz. I actually liked the taste, and the alcoholic taste was barely noticable. The sourness does seem to make your jaw ache a little, but it does taste pretty good! Whenever I've been asked to do shots since, I've always choosen apple sourz. I can even take them one after the other, something I certainly would not be able to manage with other shots I have tried!

One of my friends has said to me that the alcoholic content of sourz is actually pretty weak (which would probably account for the lack of alcoholic taste in it!). Bottles tend to come in a 70cl bottle, with each serving being around 25ml and at pubs costing between £1-£2. If you want to buy a bottle, they are readily avaiable at super markets and alcohol stores for aorund the £10 price region. The volume of alcohol inside one of these bottles is 15% (I'm not sure if this is weak/strong/perfect etc.).

I think you really can taste apples in this shot, unlike others where all you taste is alcohol. And they certainly are sour! For someone who doesn't like alcohol they are perfect! Even the bottles they come in are attractive, and the actual shots look super cool as they are bright green (a bit like absinthe!). I'm certainly going to be investing in a bottle or two to take with me to University!

Summary: Fab shot and definately my favourite!
