I was first introduced to Southern Comfort by my older sister when I was 16, and soon learnt not to drink stupid amounts very quickly as it makes you ill. Well it made me fairly ill that night at least. However unlike other drinks that whilst being a young lad I drank in an excessive manner occasionally this experience didn't put me off (I can no longer stand normal whisky), in fact it made me like it even more Hey I was 16 and I'm allowed to be silly at that age.

I have a sweet tooth and yes I do drink all those alcopops like hooch, but you really can't beat a SC with lemonade supplied with plenty of ice in a tall glass. In fact supply it in a short glass with only a dash of lemonade and a bit of ice, and its still the smoothest drink I know.

With SC there is no straight format for drinking it. If its a sunday afternoon and you're lazying around out in the sun a cool long SC will make the English weather the same as a tropical beach. If its pooring down and you're depressed and miserable and cold, then a SC will create an atmosphere as though you've curled up in front of a fire with the person of your dreams. There is nothing to stop SC from being a Friday night drink down the pub with your mates. It can go down in small doses or large ones, it really doesn't matter. Its a drink that is designed for all occasions.
