I first bought a bottle of this particular malt as a Christmas present for my then girlfriend's father, a Scot whom I must admit I wanted to impress. Work commitments had taken me to Edinburgh around about November time and so I took the opportunity to visit one of the Malt Whisky shops about the Scottish capital.
