This drink is fanastic. And as many of you have commneted on my other opinions - yes it does have an aniseed flavour (if I spelt that right). This is the strongest absynth that money can buy here in the UK and I strongly recommend that you at least try a shot of it. However, I have drank a few bottles of this already (not at the same sittings) and have never experienced any halloucinations so I think its just a whole load of hype. Ok, this can be drunk neat or with ice from a chilled shot glass but the best way to drink it is after caramalising some sugar. The way to do it is this 1.Take a shot glass and fill with absynth. ...  Read the complete review

I recently tasted this drink for the first time and I can honestly say its really nice (as long as you've had a few drinks first!). It has a strong ainseed flavour, and really burns when it goes down and leaves a nice warm feeling in your stomach when you're done! It is best had after some other drinks, otherwise it can taste a bit strong! So, when you are nicly drunk, have a go! But a warning it'll get you very drunk, with a killer hangover! ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Terrible. Avoid (89 words)

An artificially flavoured and coloured Czech oil mix. This type of "absinth" has absolutely no relation to the genuine product, which is now once again available from selected French and Swiss producers. It completely lacks the beautiful herbal and floral notes present in the real thing, and is made from simply mixing essences with base alcohol, rather than by maceration and distillation of natural herbs (as real absinthe is). For more details on what constitutes genuine absinthe, see the Historical Absinthe FAQ at ...  Read the complete review
