Advantages: Very refreshing Lager.
Disadvantages: Just the price.
OK People, Cheers, I am having a drink, Good Old Stella, as in Stella Artois from Belgium.
Served and drunk from the good old fashioned green glass bottle, this brew is just over %5 ABV (Alcohol by Volume). It is 5.2% actually but I am certainly not counting. The bottle holds 33cl, or 330ml, the same quantity as beer cans.
The top is the traditional crown cork that can be opened with any form of opener, or the edge of the table if the Missus isn't watching! In the adverts, they say "Reassuringly Expensive". I suppose I know what they mean, but more expense is not always better, apart from in this case!
Right, firstly it is not brewed in Belgium, it hails from the UK actually, being one of the Inbev group. It matters not where it is brewed, nor what group of companies own it, all we really need to know is what it tastes like. OK, simple question, simple answer - yes it tastes good, very refreshing, cold (It should always be served cold) easy to poutr or hold the bottle. The amount of carbon Dioxide is just right, not too gassy.
This drink is marketed exactly as it should be, as a Continental Lager, and a good one at that. I recommend it, and the only downside is the price, which does tend to be above average, although you can get bargain buys at this time of year.
The label gives you all the info you could want, and if there are any questions, then you can visit the website:-
www.stellaartois.com
You do have to enter your date of birth before you can gain access to the site, just remember to enter the month first as they do in Europe.
There are some very graphic images on there, and I would advise anyone to have a look. I can recommend the "games", take a look, you will enjoy it.
Summary: A very nice drink, worth the money.
