Advantages: crisp, cold, tasty

Disadvantages: negative press

Stella Artios, it used to be the preserve of the affluent, with the supporting advertising bearing the slogan 'reassuringly expensive' like a badge of honour. However in recent years 'Stella' as its often known has (along with other premium %5+ lagers) built a reputation as an unsophisticated drink existing only to fuel 'wife beaters' and their drunken antics.

However I would like to prove these nay-sayers wrong. Stella is a smooth, crisp lager from Belgium which has a rich heritage both in taste and appeal.

What could be better than cracking open an icy cold can or bottle of Stella Artios on a summers day at a BBQ, or after a hard day at work?

How can you fail to see the appeal of a beautifully delicious beer with subtle undertones of barley and hops?

it is the perfect accompanyment to a night out, a night in, a curry, a steak or any other food stuff of your choice.

Despite its image nose diving in recent years, it's still the first beer I ever ordered at a bar, and it's still a failsafe option for all my drinking needs.

Summary: A delicious beer which has suffered from bad press in recent years
