Advantages: Tastes good

Disadvantages: Expensive, chemical infused, violent tendencies

It's a premium beer. 5.2%, Belgian in origin, tastes pretty good and has a fancy name. This surely should be the perfect CV for a tasty drinkable lager but there are several factors that annoy and frustrate me about this beer.

It is 'affectionately' known as "Wifebeater" by some of the less amusing people who drink it (or not), and this poor-taste nickname sadly does have some fact in it. The version we get in Britain at least contains a lot of chemicals which seem for many a drinker to react badly. I am the least violent person, even when drinking yet after several Stellas I know in myself that I could quite easily cause trouble. Compare this with other premium lagers (Kronenberg, Becks etc) and it almost worries me that it is on sale. As I said, tastewise it goes down (perhaps a little too) easily yet after a few and the next day this beer worries me.

However, perhaps it is only me yet how does one account for it's morose nickname? I recommend the Japanese beer Itchiban instead - tastes just the same but without any additives, leaving no hangover the next day and not an inch of inclination towards violence.

Oh yes, and then they have the cheek to charge far more for it...

Summary: Too many chemicals in a drink isn't good for anyone... have something pure instead
