Advantages: none compared with the old stuff
Disadvantages: Tastes hideous
Stella Artois has changed and not for the better, it used to be 5.2% it has now become 5%.
I don't care that the strength is less but the taste has also diminished. Rumour has it that Isinglass (made from fish)is no longer used as a fining agent so the beer is now suitable for vegetarians. Well guess what, Stella also no longer tastes like it used to either.
I for one am bitterly disappointed with the new brew, I couldn't give a monkeys about the strength being less but the smooth rounded flavour has gone and the new one to my palate at least is much sharper.
So InBeV what is the truth? Has stella been modified for vegetarians? why is the ABV now 5% were you worried by the wife beater label?
You have lost me as a customer with the new brew anyway, and not just me either many of my friends have also become disenchanted with the new style brew.
Please make it like it was, you can always make a low alcohol, isinglass free beer for the vegetarians or they could just drink wine.
Summary: Thumbs down from me and my mates.
