Advantages: Cheap, acceptable flavour
Disadvantages: Less than inspiring
Sorry if this ends up really bad and ill formatted, im going to be writing this review on my mobile phone as im drinking a bottle.
The drink comes in a very standard beer bottle, in green. This particular bottle is admittedly quite small at just 284 ml, half a pint i think. Unlike many which seem to be 330, which with the alcoholic content at 5% means each bottle is 1.4 units. Making it quite a strong lager, obviously drinks can be much stronger, such as super tennants which is 9%.
Sniffing the bottle gives off a faint smell of an alcoholic beverage, though it isnt strong enough to discern quite what the smell is of...but there is one there. And the colour looks green... Like i said im drinking from the bottle which obviously tints the colour i see from the top, however in a glass it always seemed a rather orange or amberish colour, typical lager colour, weve all seen it before, nothing new or unique here.
The taste is quite sharp and bitter, it seems to hit you mouth, you swallow then its gone, it fails to keep your attention after a mouthful. It does when you can taste it, taste better than a really cheap beer like fosters, but seems to be just a step up as opposed to a real jump.
The flavour lacks the sooth texture of a good pint of Duechars IPA which has become my regular drink when im at my local. A straight head to head leaves my normal as a clear winner, with a wonderful fruity taste that lasts until you want another mouthful. A much more satisfying drink than this which just seems rather meh overall and not some thing that makes you enjoy the drink. You get the feeling you want to rush through the drinks to drink the next to end up drunk. At least whilst drunk you dont wish you had a better drink in your hand, you just grab the next and go simples.
Let me just make it obvious, drink in one hand, phone in the other life seems easy, im free of work until tomorrow morning. Whilst knowing one more shift then the weekend begins for real, ill have nothing more impressive then a relatively acceptable and average drink unless i decide i can stomach being abused by the land lord. Alas, i shall spend my night with 2 dozen of these. In other words, its fine, if uninspiring and a a rather cheap beer, you get what you pay for, i paid 14 pounds i think for 40 bottles. 20 pints for 14 quid. Yes please.
Sorry for this being short i really wish i could use a pc.
Summary: Beer in one hand and phone in the other
