If you want a quality lager, then Stella's your poison. Strong, in both flavour and alcohol (well, it's 5.2%) and full of body.

It doesn't fill you up like some other beers, not as gassy. It doesn't repeat on you too badly either. It flows very well, with friends, alone or with nibbles (peanuts, snacks etc..)

It is packaged in an attractive can, making the eye move toward it, the fizzing attracts the aural senses and then the smooth sensation as it trickles down the throat livens the oral area.

It doesn't give you too bad a hangover, obviously that does depend to some extent on how much you drink but I usually find that after 4 or 5 cans I'm ok in the morning, no problem. Any more and I might have the typical "morning after" head.

It's not the cheapest, but it doesn't taste like it is.

A true great. A classic among classics. Washes heineken, castlemaine xxxx, fosters and carling down the toilet.

(PS. My fiance warns: don't eat mayonnaise before you drink Stella as this can damage the exquisite flavour!)
