Advantages: Sharp as a razorblade.

Disadvantages: The next day, sometimes.

Ahh, the beer that destroys parts of the body that other beverages won't even dare to look at.

I still class myself as a young man so I don't really have that much experience before I discovered this beautiful mind boggler. I used to drink Budweiser in quantities that some would say was very bad for me and others would pat me on the back for, but something was missing in my life. Sure I would go out every Friday and Saturday night and engorge myself into a drunken stupor, but I always left feeling empty (and it had nothing to do with the trail from my mouth down the toilet). Then along came my Belgian angel, wearing a long dark green dress with gold, red and white wings, how I do love this drink.

I had no idea how old this pilsner truly was, it is coming close to being three hundred years old, and if I keep drinking it the way I am, I don't think I will make it past thirty (tee hee).

For a beer itself, it is quite strong (around 5.2% in pint form and 6.5% from the bottle) but so are the others that this brand of ale competes with, such as Budweiser and Becks etc. It is also a little on the expensive side, ranging from around two pounds (for your normal down the street pub), to anything up to three chunky nuggests (probably a city bar in the eveing), but it still rather good value for monet if you are prepared to pay that little extra. A couple of pints though and your nearly down on an entire drink. For me, it is much more enjoyable out of the bottle (but then, I am a barbarian), on a weekend evening with a good deal of company to enjoy it with. It has crisp, refreshing taste that is very easy on the palatte, you could argue that it is so easy to drink that you would be trouble pretty quickly. I am not sure about what knid of food it goes well with, especially enjoyed at the same time, maybe after drinking this, a curry, or maybe even a MacDonalds would go down well (try to stay away from the dreaded kebab).

I somehow woul
d not really class this as a beer though, even though it technically is. The market that it aims at in this country, leans toward someone who normally drinks lager, as it is quite similar in taste, just like it's main cometitors. If you were someone who enjoyed beer for what it truly is, thick creamy and uncommonly good I would advise you to stay away from Stella, you won't be that impressed, it isn't what you would hope for. If, however, you want a change to lager, that is fresh and clean look no further, it has everything that you want, including some other aspects (more like side affects), but you may not be kind in your approach to them.

I drink this as often as possible, whilst not too much to make me, well, you know, and I shall always love it. We have had some great memories together (including some bad, but they tend to be in the morning after), what a good friend it is.
