Stella Artois:
... Artois is a premium lager with an ABV of 5.0% in the UK, having recently been reduced frn from 5.2 % ABV in an effort to rid itself of a reputation for being a wife beater lager. Originally produced in Belgium in 1926 as a Christmas brew, Stella Artois has become an international favourite and accounts for 75% of Belgium s beer production. In the UK, Stella Artois is the best selling premium lager. As menti... Read the full review: Great tasting, well presented lager. by Kjn123 |

Stella Artois ... used to be a big fan of Stella Artois, as I fell for all the marketing and advertising of the brand as a premium lager. A high alcohol content (5.2%), coupled with a high price, and the history of being a traditional Belgian beer makes you think that you are getting something... reassuringly expensive . However, in my opinion, you are getting something that tastes like it is full of chemicals, having a very dry taste in your mouth, along with quite a sweet undercurrent. Stella Artois ... Artois is what most people who want to get drunk as much as possible buy when they frequent any pub in the UK. It is the strongest lager on tap that can be bought, with 5.2% in strength, no other lager matches this in terms of strength. Fosters and Carlsberg etc. are in the lower 4% regions. In terms of taste, Stella for a 5.2% lager is the tastiest and most friendly with your mouth, i think weaker lagers like Fosters and Carling actually taste worser than Stella and also are weaker, thus meaning you have to spend more on Fosters etc. for you to get drunk, so logically Stella should be the lager for you when you frequent any bar or pub. The taste is very refreshi... Read the full review: The king of all lagers by aaron666 |

Stella Artois ... Artois, the belgian Premium lager, that has lost a bit of its original kick of late, used to be 5.2%, then suddenly, and somewhat out of the blue from my perspective, reduced down to 5.0% overnight. Stella has for many years had the Wife Beater nickname attched to it, although from my own personal drinking experience of it, I think this is unjustified, as I have never experienced any anger effects, even after a full night on the Stella . ~Options ~ Stella is available from most off licences, supermarkets, pubs, bars and restaurants, in the following forms: Bottles: 284ml (half pint) 330ml 568 (pint) Cans: 440ml 500ml 568ml (Pint) On Pump 284ml (half pint)...
