Jacques fruit cider is a relatively new drink to the market and is described as a combination of sparkling cider and 13% fruit juice. It has an alcoholic content of 5.5% and is recommended to be served over ice. Jacques is produced under the Strongbow brand in Belgium, but is in fact produced by its sister company, Stassen.

The drink certainly represents good value for money, costing just £3 for a 750 millilitre bottle. The drink is available in multiple flavours; however I would recommend the forest fruits cider as this is highly refreshing. The drink is a very summery colour that I would best describe as cherry. In terms of flavour the tasting notes are of cherry and raspberry. The drink comes in a glass bottle with a handy screw top. This would make it an ideal choice for a summer picnic. All in all, a fantastic drink that is perfect for that summer occasion.
