I'm not much of a cider man, but this caught me eye once in the shops, so I bought a bottle and was pleasantly surprised. This is just the right alcoholic beverage for a hot Summer's night, and puts a lot of other ciders, notably their own regular Strongbow, right to shame. It may not be cheap, at about £3.30 per 750ml bottle (which is almost exactly 1.5 pints), but it does have a volume of 5.5%, which is somewhat higher than most beers. They come in two flavours that I'm aware of - Fruits des bois, and Orchard Fruits.

This is a luxuriously fruity drink that's without a doubt best served cold, and it's a wondrously refreshing drink if you're hot during the Summer. It lacks the rather disagreeable tang I associated with a lot of ciders (like regular Strongbow), and instead is infused with a distinctly fruity taste that rather agreeably overpowers the "cider taste", if you will. It has no particular fruit taste, but instead several blended together, and tastes nice enough that you may well forget that you're even drinking alcohol, which is quite a rarity.

Like all cider, though, it is incredibly gassy, and so if you're trying to plough through a few bottles quickly before a night out, they may not be the best drink to choose. Also, if you're on a budget, they're actually rather pricey, and so are unlikely to be the best option if you're looking for a cheap night out. But if you value taste enough to splash out extra, get ready for a deliciously fruity treat!
