refreshing summer drink or chosen poisen of the youngsters of today? You may be of the opinion that this is the drink of choice of the young hooligans that go around causing trouble nowadays, and in many ways you are correct. But is this a good enough reason to disregard the drink as a bad job? i dont think so. I think that strongbow is great. It is cheap, alchoholic and does not taste like pee like White Lightning. I suppose you are only going to drink it if you like cider but it has become my drink of choice over the last year or so and I am not even a student anymore! Most good offie that you go into will do you a 6 for £5 deal. It is beautiful served over ice on a hot summers day. I know there are more exspensive offerings out there that taste a bit better. I must admit to not being a huge Cider fan, but I've given Strongbow the odd go, particularly if it's on offer from a friend for free or something. Strongbow is probably the most well known Cider in the world, and is the cheapest brand name for sure, unless you're willing to debase yourself to something as purile as Frosty Jack's or White Lightning, both of which taste like motor oil. You can buy 4-packs for often less than £3 if you shop around, and Strongbow also sell pint cans now, which obviously are a little more expensive, but still extremely good value if you're a fan of Cider. Normally I'm a red wine or whiskey kind of girl but in hot weather cider is always my drink of choice. In the age of the credit crunch a lot of us are looking for cheaper alternatives on our nights in and out, the pub trade is rapidly declining and I don't go out as often as I used too, partly due to getting older and partly to save some cash. Now I am a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, I blame this on the fact that I am 5ft 1 and 3/4.
