A surprisingly sound cider (Strongbow)

I've grown up with my father drinking Strongbow and so i pretty much wrote it off as an old man's drink! Lately however, with fashions changing, i've braved the likes of Magners and Bulmers - on the rocks of course. Well, it was due to these that i thought i would give Strongbow a go!

I bought twelve cans for six pounds in a hot morrisons deal (much cheaper than my preferred Magners) and was delighted to find (for the very reason that it's cheaper) that it was delicious! I was also surprised to find that it is made by HP Bulmer.

Served over ice, this is indeed a superior cider. As stated on the can - it is bitter-sweet with a rewarding taste, perhaps imitating life - bitter-sweet. It comes in sufficient cans of 440ml - with 5.3% vol in each (recyclable) can. There are different varieties to tap into and it has extended into 'strongbow: jacques' range - this fruity range is popular with young women, but beware as it is (as) misleadingly potent.

Perhaps it needs a more updated branding than the old thudding arrows. It's certainly a delectable contender when comapared with the current faves and mustn't be avoided just down to being 'uncool'. It's perhaps one to pour into a magners glass...?

Summary: Serve it over ice and enjoy - well worth tipping this tipple into your glass
