Advantages: A fizzy drink in a can

Disadvantages: Not the best choice.

Sunkist is one of those famous names, you hear it in in cinemas, as well as supermarkets and corner shops. The "Nothing out of the ordinary" orange drink is fizzy, orange coloured and flavoured, just what you would expect from this type of drink.
Both the cans and the bottles are east to spot in the shop, because of the vivid orange colour, this makes it good for "Impulse buyers", and I suspect this is how most of the drink is actually sold.

It is similar to Tango but not as nice, Sunkist also has a sort of "metallic" taste. In my opinion it's a cheap version of the very good Tango. It does actually have a kind of "Orange" taste, and plenty of fizz, but not much else.

I can't fault the marketing people, this is described as a Soda, and the adverts use all the right words like "Refreshing" and borrow phrases like "chilled" & "Kick back".

Sunkist is owned by Cadbury Schweppes, and has been since 1986. Cadbury are a very well known brand of course, and Schweppes are too. It is a shame that this drink was not a bit more tasty.
This company has a website, take a look:-
http://www2.sunkistsoda.com

This is an interesting site actually, it ' sort of "interactive" and you can do all sorts on it, have a look for yourself.

This Aluminium can, which is easy to recycle, holds the standard 330mls, I am sure we all recycle cans at home, however most of these cans do seem to be discarded in hedges near bus stops, so are not being recycled at all. I thought that this was a Global standard, and that they all held 330ml, but the United States and China use 355ml, we live and learn. Expect to pay around 50p per can, although this price varies by quite a lot, and you will find the larger plastic bottles offer better value.

I think this is overrated as well as overpriced. You will see this stuff in shops & supermarkets all over the country.
This contains some 190 calories per serving, 52 grammes of sugar, total carbs 52 grammes, 45mg of Sodium, and 0% fat! One thing I thought strange, was the fact that this company gives the shelf life of just 39 weeks, I suppose this goes in favour of them when it comes to quality control. What they do notthis say is that basically, contains sugar, water, plus carbon dioxide.

Each to his own, I don't recommend it, I think there are nicer tasting drinks around, and most are better for your teeth. The drink does contain other trace elements like sodium, which are supposed to be included in your recommended daily allowance. However, manyof these ingredients are also in other drinks and foods we consume every day, without even thinking about it.

Summary: Available everywhere, but not the best for you.
