A friend of mine spent 2 years in Inida as a student and he delights in telling me this joke every time I drink gin (so this joke is getting a little old now!): "Ah, yes, I remember learning the two most important ingredients for a G&T from my india days. Stronger than your average gin, Tanquery makes a fine G+T if a quality tonic is used. It’s got a good flavour, possibly a little bitter for some, but the higher alcohol content means that it retains a much better clarity and doesn’t suffer from that oily feeling that cheaper gins often have. The somewhat unique bottle design also means that this product stands above others in the market as a much better quality of gin, certainly far above supermarket’s own brands and (in my opinion) better that London Silk or Gordons’.
