Advantages: Great Taste
Disadvantages: Less caffeine
Take It Easy New York Deli Roast ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time to try another one anyway, over in the next village to mine there is another little shop but they had a choice of TWO filter coffees! (I can't wait for my next supermarket trip) So as you can probably guess I chose this one. It was a little more expensive at £2.65 for 227g but this time it came in a rather cute little storage caddy, or tin to you and me, so I paid up the extra few pennies quite happily. This coffee is a medium roasted one that claims to have only half the caffeine of other filter blends, as it's a blend decaffeinated and regular coffee on a 50/50 basis. So you can drink it all day if you want to. It also says on the pack it is suitable for all coffee makers. The pack recommends one dessertspoon per person, I assume they mean per cup but anyway I used one spoon per mug and it was very nice indeed. Again this has a very smooth taste not very much different to the Douwe Egberts stuff I was drinking the other day, it was a little bit sweeter which surprised me, as normally I would spot decaffeinated very quickly as I find the taste of it quite bitter and horrible. The smell of this coffee when it is brewing is absolutely outstanding. I give this coffee five out of five and can't wait to try the other coffees in the Taylors range. Taylors of Harrogate say that by buying this coffee, you can help their long-term commitment to community initiatives and tree planting projects in countries where their tea and coffee is grown and that every year they donate £100,00 to international charities. For more information write to:- Trees for Life, PO Box 137, Harrogate, HG2 7UJ. If you want advice on coffee making you can telephone Taylors on 01423 889822. There doesn't seem to have a website that I can find at the moment. By the way it goes ex
tremely well with a huge pack of Kit Kats!
