How do you take yours?
Stick the kettle on and read this! Tea was originally found in China around three thousand years ago. Over the past 200 years the humble cup of tea has now become an essential part of British life.
Whether you like it black, white, strong, weak, loose or bagged read and be amazed with these interesting facts all about tea...
*George Orwell liked the teapot warmed first before he put in his water.
*Queen Victoria liked her tea with a drop of whisky.
*Tea is the second most popular drink after water with over 20 billion cups guzzled every day.
*Tea counts towards your daily fluid allowance.
*There are 4 types of tea that are commonly sold - white tea, green tea, black tea and oolong tea. They are all actually made from the same plants, but it's the length of processing time that gives the different types. White tea is processed the least and black tea the most.
So it seems that tea is not the boring drink we all think of. I love it - I must drink 6 cups a day! It is now well known that tea is good for you and can reduce antioxidents in your body which can, in turn, reduce the risk of getting serious diseases.
I don't know how true any of the claims are but I do know that I love it and couldn't do without it!
And if you're wondering its strong with one sugar please!
Summary: great drink
