Advantages: Huge range and variety
Disadvantages: Can be addictive
Tea is a famous part of British life and most of us enjoy a few cups everyday. There have been famous quoes and poems all written about tea so it's not to be taken lightly and as there have been whole books written about tea it's hard to squeeze everything into a short review.
The most common type of tea drunk in England is the traditional tea made with milk and sugar (should you have a sweet tooth). Thousands of brands advertise for our custom including PG Tips, Yorkshire tea, Tetley, Twinings (my personal favourite) and many supermarkets have their own brands.
Whittards is my favourite place for their range of different teas.
The range in price for tea bags ranges hugely from very cheap for the basic supermarket brands up to quite pricey for the more expensive and specialist teas.
You can buy tea in the bag form and also in the leaf variety.
You can also buy fruit teas, green teas, herbal teas, caffeine free teas - the list is endless and i love to try different fruit teas.
Tea has less caffeine than coffee and is also well known for its antioxidant properties and many different types of tea claim many other health improving qualities. Camomile is said to be soothing and help with insomnia, peppermint helps with digestive complaints - some teas are even thought to help induce labour!
I generally drink fruit teas and green teas and find them really refreshing and if you love traditional tea i recommend trying a few of the wealth of tea types out there. If you don't like traditional tea i can guarantee you will find one you like somewhere!
Summary: A great drink for people everywhere
