Advantages: Cheap, soothing, companionable.

Disadvantages: None.

Where would I be without my tea?
Without my morning fix?
Where would I be without my tea?
All twisted in my knicks!

A morning brew, quite thick and brown
enough to stand the spoon!
And if you say you like it weak.
I'd bellow "You're a loon!"

Take PG Tips the "planters choice"
it's honey gold, with loads of taste
Those women didn't toil in fields
so you could let it waste!

There's herbal tea for healthy folk
and decaff' if you're 'wired'.
(Camomile smells like cat pee!)
Try Lavender if you're tired.

But me, I like the boring stuff
I'm just a normal lass.
I just can't get a taste for drinking
stuff that tastes of grass.

So make it by the bucket full
and let the flavour brew.
Then when it's nearly black as tar
ingest a mug or two.

Don't stick your little finger out
as though you're high and mighty!
the chances are you'll spill the lot
and ruin your best nighty!

Those dainty tea cups aren't for me
they make me feel all jumpy
All china patterns and flowery bits
and handles that are lumpy!

Give me a mug and I'll be fine
with Tetleys, Green or Black
I'll even dunk a biccie in
if I can find a pack.

Now Tetleys have those little men
And Yorkshire shows you fields
and Twinings are scientific with their
"Average teabush yields."

Quick Brew uses triangles
and PG once used monkeys
But Typhoo called to 'snob appeal'
with turban headed flunkeys!

Celestial Seasoning packets all have
pious little sayings.
There's Barry's if you're Irish,
then there's Liptons if you're paying!

So many teas to choose from
and with every kind of Ad'!
If I took any notice I would soon
go raving mad!

So just sit me in the corner
and give me my own mug,
some sugar and a teaspoon,
nice fresh milk in a small jug.

I'll sit there very quietly
and when that mugfull's gone,
I'll take a break from rating
and say "Put the kettle on."

Summary: What do you mean "It's my turn to make it?"
