Advantages: Cheap, Not that bad!

Disadvantages: Not liked by all, bit of a strong after-taste

Tennent's lager is without doubt one of the most well know Scottish brands amongst the people of Scotland. Tennent's is features at most if not all licensed sporting events, every decent pub and every club that feels they need to uphold a good reputation. Every place that is somewhere sells Tennents!

Let me make clear from the outset that it is not the best tasting beer in the world but in Scotland it is definitely one of the most popular. Being a student I drink my fair share of Tennents, firstly because it is one of the beers offered as a pound pint at the start of the week and secondly cause it is cheap all the time! Buy some cans - dead cheap! And a pint of Tennents Ice Cold is incredibly satisfying when you're sitting in the union knowing you only paid a pound!

I grew up drinking Tennents and as such I'm probably not going to change too much. I still enjoy other beers but at uni it's a strong contender for best pint. I don't think I could finish this review without mentioning T in The Park. Tennents being the official beer of the fine music festival your always guaranteed to have a few or at least notice the big red T! Anyone who drinks and they're from Scotland knows what Tennents is. They just have to make the decision if it's great or as it's affectionately known in Glasgow, Rat's p_ _ _!
