Advantages: cheap, tasty, not carbonated, refreshing, lots of energy.
Disadvantages: nothing particularly amazing.
Tesco active Isotonic Cherry sports drink is a refreshing, tasty and rather eye-opening energy drink at a fairly competetive price. At around 50 pence a bottle, this is a notably strong and potent energy injection, and is surprisingly delicious. It has an expected sports-cap nozzle which prevents you from instinctively gulping it down like you would a regular drink, which you wouldn't want to do, since this isn't your standard drink.
Oddly enough this drink is not carbonated at all, which came as something of a surprise to me when I bought it. Nonetheless, this made a welcome change from the tongue-burning chaos brought about by more conventional and popular sports drinks such as Lucozade or Red Bull. Nonetheless its a really good knock off ,especially considering the rather fine price.
This drink knows its a knock off, and doesn't really pretend to be anything else, its a cheap alternative to bigger brands, much like all of "Tesco's own" products.
Its good for sportsman, runners and even people who just need a little pick-me-up halfway through the week. I wouldn't recommend drinking it every day though, since like most beverages of this kind, its pretty fattenting.
