Advantages: Very tasty and refreshing. And it's cheap!
Disadvantages: Loses fizz once bottle is opened
I tend to try and drink a lot of squashes (as you may know from some of my other reviews), but every so often a nice refreshing fizzy drink is just what you need. For those moments my personal tastes is normally to go for a lemonade.
As I normally shop in Tesco I picked up a bottle of this cloudy lemonade on my last shop. As this is a Tesco branded product it is only available in Tesco stores. You can buy this product both in the version that contains sugar and the sugar free version which contains sweeteners instead. I bought the sugar free version in an attempt to be kinder to my teeth. A 2 litre bottle cost 46p.
The drink comes in a pretty standard 2 litre bottle. A clear bottle with a pale green label with pictures of lemons on and the name of the product - Tesco sugar free cloudy lemonade. The bottle being clear means you can see the product inside which is a cloudy yellow colour - what you would expect for a 'cloudy' lemonade.
So, I got home and poured myself a glass. It may seem a strange thing to say, but this lemonade really did have a lemon taste to it. A really refreshing zesty lemon taste to it, slightly sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Definitely had more of a taste to it than your standard supermarket branded lemonade. Now, as I had only just got it home this first glass of it that I had was at room temperature, and I found it really refreshing. Once you have put the bottle in the fridge for a while to chill it down a little it had even more of a refreshing kick to it. The drink has a really nice after taste to it - nice and lemony with a little of the sweetness still remaining too.
I found the fizziness to last for a relatively decent amount of time. Admittedly the fizz didn't last as long as some other premium brands out there. We got to the end of the bottle about 4 days after initially opening and a degree of the fizz still remained, but nowhere near as much as was there when initially opened. This is my only real grumble about this product and the reason for it dropping a star, though it was still refreshing at least even if there was a limited fizz to it.
Summary: Overall this is a really refreshing drink at a great price, and I will definitely buy this again
