Nice enough but not a patch on the real thing (Tesco Fiery Ginger Beer)

A bottle of this stuff costs 47p for 2 litres, it is actually not awful, it claims to contain no artificial flavours or colours and is made with Ginger Beer root extract.

I decided to try this as a cheaper alternative to my usual Jamaican Ginger Beer, the difference is a 2 litre bottle is cheaper than a can of my usual brand, the packaging is nice enough. When you pour the Ginger Beer is comes out with a nice spicy smell and bubbles and fizzed, however I found the initial taste wasn't strong enough for me, it had too much of a sugary soft drink taste and not enough of the spicy ginger which gives it such a kick.

I found I couldn't enjoy a glass as it got way to sweet and sickly and the flavours left my stomach feeling unsettled, I didn't have an after taste other than the metallic taste I have previously mentioned, I really wanted to enjoy this to save money but am going back to my old brand as it cost more but really did taste of ginger beer and not some saccharine-heavy cheap version.

Unfortunately this drink lacks that bite of the original and is therefore more of a watered down soft drink, I haven't mixed it with spirits as I know the combination won't work so well. The drink contains gluten and also comes in diet variety if you prefer, it is a good price and will appeal to many.

Summary: Nice enough but not a patch on the real thing
