Advantages: Cheap, nice cold

Disadvantages: Needs to be cold

**Introduction**

When it comes to energy drinks I usually prefer the isotonic sports drink to things like Red Bull just from a matter of preferring the taste. I broke with tradition the other day after playing Basketball in my local park with three friends. After a very hot game of Basketball I was pretty tired and sweaty so popped up the road to my local Tesco Express to get some liquid refreshment quick. I picked up a bottle of mineral water and a different drink when I spotted the can which I could see was nice and cold as you could see the can was dripping wet.

**Kick**

Kick comes in either a 250ml can or a 1 litre bottle. A can will cost you 35p whereas you can often pick up the bottle for just 44p down from it's normal 86p which is a real bargain. The only problem with the bottle is that it is not in the fridge so if you need a drink there and then I would recommend the can even though the bottle is much better value as for just 9p more you get four times as much. That sure is a great deal isn't it. Kick's taste reminds me so much of Red Bull and all other energy drinks like this do taste rather similar which is quite different to the isotonic drinks which have varying flavours.

**The Look**

The look of a product is very important as you want the product to stand out on the shelf and look nice. Kick has the same colour scheme as Red Bull with the blue and red being the main colours joined by Silver. Personally I prefer the look of the Red Bull can as it is more eye catching but there really is nothing wrong with the design of the Kick can or bottle. There is a picture of a horse shoe which I suppose implies that the drink will give you the energy to kick like a horse. I'm not sure whether it does that or not but anyway.

**Does it Work**

Yes I am pleased to tell you that it does work, It won't quite give you the results that Red Bull and other energy drinks like relentless give but as long as you drink it cold it will give you great results in terms of refreshment and also an energy boost. Obviously it is not advised to drink too much of this stuff in one sitting as it may give you too much of a boost. But all things considered this gives near Red Bull results for a price that is far less than you would pay for just a can of Red Bull.

**Overall**

This is a very good cheap product that works nearly as well as Red Bull but for a fraction of the price. If you like this then I would advise buying the bottle and keeping it in the fridge as it is much better value and the drink really needs to be cold otherwise it can be quite sickly especially if you drink it quite quickly which I imagine you would given the type of drink it is and what you would generally be drinking it for. Oh and because it is a stimulant drink it is not a good idea to drink it too much otherwise you will feel the effect.

If it wasn't for this stuff I would never make it through my night shifts. As good as red bull but a fraction of the price.

Not bad for its price, but I much prefer Relentless or rockstar :)
