Drinking milk has many benefits, it helps to strengthen your bones - you can reduce chances of developing osteoporosis. Milk is rich in calcium ( needed for muscle contraction) and contains magnesium, zinc, proteins, fat, sugars, and vitamins A and D as well. Overally,milk does do a body good.
There is today a huge choice of fresh milk available and it becomes more and more difficult to evaluate and compare the benefits /taste of different brands. My choice is often influenced by the price and fat content. Most people will buy the cheapest brand and ( in my opinion) it is not a costly mistake but a good choice!
Milk is milk - not a 100% manmade product, so where is the difference and why some brands cost more or less? For someone who has scientific background there is absolutely no need to purchase pricey mik if Tesco offers own brand for 86p only (1l).

Milk tastes best served cold mixed with cereals, musli or fruits. Perfect as a main ingredient of hot tea, coffe and drnking cocoa. Milk is purely white ( real, fresh milk has totally different colour and consistencty - it's oily and has a butter like colour!) and has a neutral smell. Compared to whole milk it is a bit watery and will surely satisfy me but not my husband who hates it . Some people are happy with skimmed milk and some - whole milk drinkers say it tastes like a water mixed with milk.

Milk comes in 1.136ltr/2 pints ( costs 86p) or 2.272ltr/4 pints (costs 1.53) plastic bottle with secure lid. Keep it refrigerated and store in upright position. Botlle is mainly white with red band with 'Tesco Skimmed Milk' printed across it. Bottle looks pretty boring compared to other brands - no illustrations, photograps - it's only price you will like, not the packaging. It is not ultra heat treated (UHT) but lasts longer than some brands - after 5 days milk is usually fresh and tastes well.

If you don't enjoy i will not be amazed, but it is so good value for money - forget about other brands if you're on a tight budget !
