“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Flavoured water / Available: Various flavours „
As mentioned before, Tesco's sparkling water is right up my street costing only 43p for a 1 litre bottle. I am currently drinking the Tesco sparkling spring water with a hint of apple and raspberry flavour and I'm loving it!
It comes in a reasonable sized bottle which is wider at the base and gets slimmer higher up with a thin neck and a screw top lid so as to make it resealable so I can sip it at a time and come back to it later! It looks like lemonade, and upon opening it there is a fragrant smell of blackcurant (not much apple really!) that flows out and it smells very appealing.
I tend to drink it by pouring it into a glass/mug at work as I feel a bit rough drinking it straight from the bottle! Pouring it, it is definitely one of those drinks that fizzes up a lot and I have to wait a few seconds before I can re-commence pouring it out to actually fill my cup. It is quite bubbly and I put this down to being a much much cheaper brand of drink but it is still reasonably quality.
Taste wise it is extremely refreshing and not too sweet so it doesn't make me feel like I am just drinking carbonated sugar! I really like the taste of this, and it is quite thirst quenching and I enjoy having this to sip throughout the day as it is really long lasting and is very lovely.
The best thing at all is that this is really low in sugar (compared to other drinks I've noticed I've been drinking!) and a 250ml serving only contains 1% of your guideline amount of sugar intake, so if I drink this entire bottle its only 3%! Result!
With this in mind it is a lovely drink I would definitely recommend and it is only available only in Tesco, so get down to one and give it a try :)
When I'm at home I usually just drink plain water throughout the day. However sometimes that can get a bit boring and occasionally I like to try something different for a change. I am wary of drinking too much pure fruit juice because it has a lot of calories and sugar, so I try to just drink one glass of fruit juice at breakfast and I find fruit flavoured sparkling waters a good option for the rest of the day. This sparkling water has only 5 calories per 250 ml serving, which is obviously hardly any and no cause for concern!
I used to buy these particular Tesco sparkling waters quite regularly but for some reason I had not picked them up for a while. Recently I noticed they were on an offer of four bottles (1 litre each) for £1.50 (or 47p if you buy one bottle). I thought this was good value so I took four different ones. Since then I have been buying loads of them and working my way through all the flavours!
The flavours currently available to buy online from Tesco are the following:
Apple and rasberry
Lemon and lime
Pear and elderflower
Peach and apricot
Orange and passionfruit
I have tried all of these except orange and passionfruit, which I have never seen in store. If I see it I will definitely buy it though. I have also come across and bought other ones in store which are not listed on the Tesco site, such as white grape and blackberry.
I think the range of flavours is good and all the combinations appeal to me. I like the fact that they seem to have brought a lot of new ones out, as when I used to buy these years ago I know they didn't have as many. A lot of these have "new" on the bottle so I am not sure when they expanded the range.
The taste of these drinks is just lovely. They taste so refreshing, quite fruity but in a natural way, not at all artificial, sugary or chemically. The fruitiness is not too subtle, I would say it is fruitier than you might think due to the name "hint" of fruit. I have enjoyed all of the ones I tried, but I would say summer berries was definitely my least favourite as it tasted very sweet and had a strong taste of strawberries, whereas personally I just prefer something a bit different or a bit sharper. My favourites are probably grapefruit and apple & raspberry.
The bottle states that the sparkling water is only lightly carbonated, but I do find it pretty fizzy, although not as much as Coca Cola or Fanta. Sometimes the fizz means it makes me feel really full when I drink it, so if I am drinking it with a meal one big glass is usually enough.
The bottle is quite thin and fits easily in the front door part of my fridge. The design is simple but I think it actually looks quite nice and not too cheap or tacky.
I would definitely recommend this drink as something to try. If you find water boring to drink then this could be a great alternative. It is much healthier than other fizzier drinks and personally I think it tastes nicer as it is less artificial and more refreshing. It is also much cheaper than the branded drinks like Fanta, so it is a good buy all round, especially for the summer time.
I regularly purchase these Tesco sparkling with a hint of range for my pack ups at work.
The first thing that attracted me to it was how cheap they are at 41p each there's not many drinks around this cheap no especially in 1 litre bottles, and what makes it even better value for money is their 3 for £1.10.
The bottle is clear with a blue tint to it and each flavour as a different image on the label, of the fruit in water giving the affect that it is inside the bottle. It makes it look very refreshing and the taste follows suit, i have tried them all and I have to say Orange is my favourite of the range.
The bottle itself is recyclable, the label however is not, and the lid is but only at certain centres. But you could always refill it with what ever cold drink you wanted.
I feel that the taste could be slightly stronger but as the label states its sparkling water with a hint, so I suppose its expected not to taste that strong.

For years, I have been buying Tesco Slightly Sparkling Flavoured Water. I have tried various different flavours, such as peach, white grape and blackberry, and lemon and elderflower. But my favourite is apple and raspberry, so this is what I will base this review on.
All of the flavoured water is currently priced at 45p, and they are available at Tesco stores as well as online. They come in 1 litre bottles, so I think this is excellent value for money. I didn't really expect much from this when I first bought it years ago, because they are very cheap, and don't look very professional e.g. the packaging looks very basic, but I was wrong. The flavoured water tastes absolutely amazing, and I buy it very often. The flavours are very distinctive, so it is very easy to tell what the flavour is just buy tasting it. As well as this, they are all very low in calories and sugar, although it does vary very little in different flavours.
The Apple and Raspberry flavoured drink contains:
Calories - 5
Carbohydrates - 0.6 grams
Sugar - 0.6 grams
Fat - 0 grams
Saturates - 0 grams
Fibre - 0 grams
Sodium - trace
As an example, the white grape and blackberry flavoured water has 6 calories, and 0.8 grams of sugar. So there really isn't much difference of the nutritional side of the different flavours. I was very impressed with how little calories and sugar this product has, because it tastes sweet and very filling and enjoyable.
The flavoured water is packaged very basically, however, it does look more appealing than some Tesco products packaging. The bottles have a slight blue tint to them, and are shaped quite nicely as the neck starts narrow at the top and the bottle gets wider towards the bottom. The label around the side has a picture of the what the flavour is based on e.g. Apples and Raspberries, as well as having the name of the flavour at the top. The packaging has been slightly modified and modernised from what it shows in the photo above. The label also gives you all of the basic things you find on a label such as the nutritional information, a best before date, storage instructions, and so on.
The only slight complaint I have about this drink is that because it is sparkling flavoured water, you will always face the problem that once you have opened the lid, the fizz will eventually die out. It last only a couple of days, but for 45p, you can't complain too much. However, once it has gone flat, the taste is slightly different. One time, a few months back, the bottle had been open for about 5 or 6 days, and it had gone flatiron, and it tasted absolutely disgusting. However, I can't remember what flavour water that was, and I think the recipe may have been tweaked when they introduced the new packaging, but I can't be sure. Also, as the water only comes in 1 litre bottles, it isn't often that I have not drunk it within 2 or 3 days.
The flavoured water is best kept in the fridge. I find that it tastes best when chilled. However, it tastes almost as good at room temperature as well.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who likes fruit flavoured drinks. It tastes delicious, and at 45p, what could go wrong? <-- Famous last words!
Tesco sparkling flavoured water is a great alternative to just water. It has a low amount of calories and is available for a low cost as well. I decided to go on a bit of a health kick but I get bored with just drinking water. Tesco flavoured sparkling water offers a sweet fizzy drink without all the calories. I like to drink this drink when I'm feeling a bit hungry and need a sugary pick-me-up. It does help hold off the hunger pangs.
The bottles cost around 40p each but usually have an offer on them. The last time I bought this sparkling water it was 3 for £1.10. Each bottle holds 1 litre and there is around 16 to 20 calories in each bottle.
There are a good variety of flavours also:
Lemon and Lime
Apple and Raspberry
White Grape and Blackberry
There are more flavours available but the above are my personal favourites that I buy on a regular basis.
The sparkling flavoured water is packaged in plastic pale blue bottles and the labels are clear also. The sparkling water is well carbonated and holds the fizz for a good 3 days after opening, although it does not usually last that long in our house. The flavours are prominent and distinctive, without being too sweet or over powering.
Overall this is a great alternative to high calorie fizzy drinks. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone on or off a diet.
When it comes to drinking fizzy drinks I am the first to admit that I drink far too much of the stuff which is why from time to time I try to purchase healthier options such as this bottled, flavoured water.
I shop in Tescos rather alot and find that more often than not these bottled waters are on offer at £1.20 a bottle or at 45p a bottle. Both me and my boyfriend adore this flavour so I whenever he comes to stay at mine I always get in a few bottles of this in!
The bottle the water comes in is a see-through blue clear bottle with a dark blue plastic screw on/off lid/cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle there is a picture of apples and raspberries and we are told that it is Tesco Apple & Raspberry 'Slightly Sparkling' Spring Water Drink 'With a hint of apple juice and natural raspberry flavour' and that it contains no artificial flavours or colours and there is an at a glance nutritional chart displayed. Other information on the back of the bottle includes ingredients and allergy advice, there is a full nutritional chart shown and contact details for Tesco are given along with being told that the bottle holds 1 litre of the drink (and this is the only size this can be purchased in as far as I am aware too!). Nice bottle and its informative enough as well.
The Drink Itself:
Clear like water with a fragrance of natural and sweet apples as soon as you open it you can hear the water is very slightly sparkling. Best served chilled/cold this is simply a very natural and delicious tasting drink which is naturally sweet opposed to really tasting of sweeteners which is something that I really don't appreciate.
This mainly tastes of crispy apples. I say crispy because its a flavour of ripe, fresh juicy apples with just a hint of raspberry within the mix.
This is a thirst quenching drink and when I first bought it I did think that this would be gassy but it really isn't due to its very gently initial sparkle.
Nice drink, great variety of flavours and very worth the money....this one is!
