Advantages: Cheap and low in cals

Disadvantages: Doesn't taste all that great

I'm busy trying to cut back on the calories at the moment, so this product really jumped off the shelf at me. It's pretty cheap, at around 37p for a 2 litre bottle, and has 3 calories per 250ml, as opposed to the 'full fat' version's 120 per 250ml.

With this drop in calories however, you also lose a lot of taste, and the taste of lemon in this lemonade is pretty well hidden. In fact, the drink contained in this bottle tastes moer like someone has gotten a bottle of soda water, and helf a lemon close to it!

Schweppes diet lemonade is much better, as it actually tastes like lemonade, but this one still has its uses. It still works quite well if you are using it as a mixer, especially if the thing you are mixing it with is quite sweet, so that the flavours don't over power each other.

It is still pretty fizzy, even though I was slightly worried when I opened the bottle and the contents stayed flat as water. As soon as I poured it into a glass though, it fizzed up. It seems to stay fizzy for quite a while too which is a good thing.

It might be my imagination, but the bottle top seems a little smaller that normal ones, so is slightly harder to open!

Not the greatest diet lemonade, but it'll do the job at a push.

Summary: A cheap and basic lemonade, that is low in cals but doesn't have much flavour

Meh - considering the acid damage fizzy drinks do to teeth I try to keep them to a minimum. This is good as it means I can savour the full fat versions on the few occasions I drink them :)
