Advantages: Tastes good, excellent value
Disadvantages: None
I generally buy Schweppes Lemonade but prior to a party recently and being short of cash I purchased a couple of bottles of Tesco Lemonade and was pleasantly surprised.
Appearance:
Well it looks like a bottle of lemonade, it is in a clear two litre plastic bottle so you can see the clear lemonade, it has a blue wrapper across the middle with a picture of a glass of lemonade and a slice of lemon. It doesn't look cheap it looks good quality and I have to say it tastes it too.
Price:
At 42p for two litres it is damned good value and compares with £1 for two litres of schweppes or R Whites Lemonade at Iceland. It works out at 21p per litre and is not much more expensive than water (although obviously it is a tad more calorific!!).
Ingredients:
Carbonated Water, Glucose-fructose Syrup, Citric Acid, Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate), Flavourings, Sweeteners (Aspartame, Sodium Saccharin), Preservative (Sodium Benzoate). (This product may also contain nuts traces!!).
Health wise:
There are apparently 15 calories per 100ml, so its not the worst drink for you ever, there is 3.6g of sugar too so be careful as too much will damage your teeth.
Taste:
It tastes like lemonade, its bubbly, lemony and a great mixer, we use it with spirits, to soften beer and wine and it is lovely and bubbly and well worth the 42p. It is more flexible than other soft drinks and absolutely awesome value so I would definitely recommend it.
Summary: A great mixer!
