Advantages: Cheap and cheerful and tasty!
Disadvantages: Colour looks artificial
Being a student again means that I rarely buy expensive or branded food products anymore. I usually stick with squash but during those intensive assignment periods, a quick break to get a glass of squash could run the risk of running into someone else in the house and being distracted for the rest of the afternoon! Much more safe to surround with ready to eat and drink products and not leave the room until the assignment is done (except for toilet breaks, obviously!).
Cherryade is a favourite of mine from when I was a child and my mum used to buy it. I can't remember which brand she bought but this 45p bottle from Tesco tastes exactly like I remember. The sugarfree element is the big seller for me, as being stationary at a desk does enough expanding to my waist line without me adding to it. I suppose it may not be sweet enough for some tastes but I drink Diet Coke because normal Coke is too sweet so bear that in mind when I say it's great tasting!
The colour is a little garish and I suppose no cherryaid actually tastes like cherries! But as far as Cherryade goes this is just as good as any other product you will buy. The taste doesn't seem to have been compromised by the lack of sugar and it's lovely and fizzy and great straight from the fridge.
I also drink it with vodka and ice or sometimes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some maraschino cherries to make it into a cherry float.
There is not really a lot to complain about. A good standard product from Tesco that won't break the bank or expand your waistline!
Summary: Will buy it everytime I want something to get me through the assignments!
