“ Manufacturer: Tesco „
I like apple, I like banana and I have made a good few smoothies containing both and enjoyed them very much so when I saw this apple and banana drink in the Tesco value range it was a must for me to try.
I have unfortunately been very disappointed with it however, the taste is almost purely apple and you would be hard pushed to tell there is any banana present at all.
It is not very refreshing either as it leaves a bit of a film on the inside of your mouth and throat and I found myself needing a drink of water after drinking this.
It comes in a cardboard carton like an orange juice or similar would and it is very inexpensive at only 63p per carton but unfortunately it is just not that nice a drink. It is fairly good for you which is a big advantage but a lot of drinks are good for you and actually taste good too.
It has only 80 calories in a carton and only a tiny 0.2g of fat, I would say that if you enjoy the flavours (especially apple) then feel free to try it but in my opinion there are much better drinks around!
I bought this product for the first time a few weeks ago simply because I love the taste of banana, and have tried a few products in the value range which were absolutley fine. Here's the low down.....
It will cost you sixty three pennies.
It comes in a cardboard carton containing 1 litre of juice.
As with all juices, you have to shake well before use to make sure it's all mixed up nicely.
As it is a value item, it is opened by tearing (I prefer to cut with scissors) along the top, so does not offer a re sealable option.
It will stay quite happily in a cupboard and used before the best by date shown, or once opened in the fridge for 5 days. (I personally always use within 3)
Ingredients are as follows Apple Juice From Concentrate 49% Water, Banana Purée 8% Antioxidant Malic acid, (Ascorbic Acid), Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K)

This juice tastes lovely, I have a very sweet tooth and although it gives me my daily sweet fix, it may not suit all tastes.
As you can see it has quite a high sugar content, so not as healthy as other juices on the market.
I use this as a breakfast drink, but also find it is handy to have when making a smoothie in the morning. Add a glass or so to a banana, yoghurt and a few ice cubes in a blender and whizz----brekkie in a glass.
This is now a firm favourite of mine, and can be spotted in my trolley when I do my wekly shop.
*** Apple and Banana juice drink***
I am not one that would usually pick up the 'value' range, but since i tried something else in this range and it was okay i thought i would try other items.
** Packaging **
It's in a carton which is common for this type of juice to be in. At the top there was instructions on how to tear the carton open. Personally i use scissors. There is a picture on the front of this carton of some apples and a banana . there is also a glass of the juice in question ,so its very obvious what kind of juice its going to be. The writting with the flavour is clearly stated on the front and back of this carton. It also stated that there is no added sugar in this product.
** Taste **
I would say its very refreshing . when you first try it you are hit with an apple taste first and then the banana .
.** Smell **
Didnt really smell at all.
** allergy **
This product contains no nuts and is suitable for vegs.
** Shelf Life **
My product was dated August, which isn't bad for a fruit juice.
Apple & banana juice with sweeteners.
