Cola is one of the few things I draw a real hard line on when it comes to cheaper brands - they never really live up to the taste of the original Coke, and often fall VERY short, leaving a taste that is best described as disgusting, and if I'm feeling nasty, "utterly damn gross".

If you've got fairly low expectations, then this Cola might actually surprise you - it's uncomplicated and not the nicest tasting of things, but as far as knock off Colas go, it's actually not that bad. It's available in both normal and sugar free versions, and costs a whopping 18p for a two litre bottle, a sure 500% saving on premium Coca Cola.

What's most noticeable taste wise is chiefly how thin the texture of it is - it's quite watery and doesn't have a lot of substance to that effect. On the plus side, it's not as fizzy, meaning your nose doesn't twitch like you just snorted a line of sherbert! That said, the minimalist taste does mean that it goes flat (or at least seems to) a lot faster - without all of the extra expensive additives that Cola Cola use, a flat Tesco Value Cola is a REALLY flat version of normal Coca Cola.

It's totally no frills, but for those on a shoestring budget, it's certainly nicer than a lot of the shoddy and inferior alternatives.
