Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Who says it is a cola ? (239 words)

Tesco Value Cola: Not the real Cola !! I normally fancy trying different kinds of soft drinks and also trying shop's own product. I tried Tesco value Coke probably around 6 months back and since then I have never dared to try it again. I was disheartened by the taste as it has a fizz like carbonated drink but lacks any ...  Read the complete review

This cola is available at Tescos for about 20p a bottle, and we all know pop isn't good for your teeth, but we like it so we drink it anyway. There is absolutely no benefits to drinking this disgusting 'drink', have something else instead, an absolute waste of money, well at least it's cheap so you won't have wasted that much. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: The 'Imitation Coke' (240 words)

Usually after a whizz around the supermarket I get attracted to all the Big names in Fizzy drinks, Tango, Fanta, 7up and the best one pepsi. But recently I decided to see the difference between Value Coke and Branded Coke, as the only real difference is the packaging right? Well for starters the packaging is awful. Lacks Imagination and ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Tesco Value Cola
by - written on 20/08/09
Rating:

i bought this recently for my wife, who was pregnant with our fifth baby. she always gets intense cravings for fizzy drinks when she is with child, and as she can get through 4-5l in a single day, it was important to us both to find something which fits the bill on both a taste and cost-saving front. she had always stuck to '7-up' in the past, but we had to find alternatives to such preimum brands.

value cola delivered, and my wife worked her way through more bottles than any other 'pregnancy fuel' she's ever bought before. in fact she drank so much of it that our fifth child was half black.

Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Fake Coke?? (297 words)

Are we influenced by taste or branding, that is the question I always ask myself whenever I purchase a value product that is "supposing" the cheaper substitute for the actual product. The Tesco Value Cola is supposed to be a product that could in theory replace buying the real Coca-Cola. The packaging of it is not exactly ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Value Sugar Free Cola was one of our purchases when we did an online shop at tesco.com a month or so back. We are trying to downshift on a lot of our products and save money in general. I knew it would be nothing like Coca Cola but I am open to cheaper alternatives especially at a difference of well over a pound per ...  Read the complete review

Last week my twelve year old granddaughter was set a challenge at school, they are raising money for a local children's hospice and the challenge was for the pupils to work in groups and create an edible snack that can be made in school and then sold to help with their charity efforts. The girls' were to provide all items needed and would be ...  Read the complete review

This drink is really a good drink especially during those times when you are going through some financial hardships,it is a good way to enjoy your fizzy drink without spending much epecially when you can not afford it.There was a time when the budget was really tight and we had had to cut down on everything my husband bought this drink and we ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Cheap cola! (238 words)
by - written on 02/07/09 (Useful, 14 readings)
Rating:

Cola is one of the few things I draw a real hard line on when it comes to cheaper brands - they never really live up to the taste of the original Coke, and often fall VERY short, leaving a taste that is best described as disgusting, and if I'm feeling nasty, "utterly damn gross". If you've got fairly low expectations, then ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap but nasty (204 words)
by - written on 11/05/09 (Useful, 20 readings)
Rating:

Tesco Value Cola is incredibly cheap, as little as 14 pence for a 2 litre bottle, however, there is a very simple reason for this, the quality is just not there. The cola is conventional looking, with an unattractive looking label, but the black of the cola does not match the taste of other colas, as has a peculiar taste. Bland and strange ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Value is the wrong word (175 words)
by - written on 30/04/09 (Useful, 17 readings)
Rating:

As you might expect for a tesco own branded 'value' of cola for 17p (at my last check), it does not taste very good. As soon as you pick the bottle up and light hits the liquid, it is more of an orangey brown than an almost black which you see with the premium brands. Once poured, it is some what flat. Cola is obviously supposed to be fizzy, ...  Read the complete review

I think some of the value range in tesco is great - I'm not a great food label snob and even if it has the blue stripy label but tastes good I will buy it. However this is one product I won't be buying from the range. I thought I would put it in my shopping basket to give it a try because at less than 20p a bottle compared to my usual ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Cola, but not as you know it (170 words)

As a regular buyer of Tesco value products and I am certainly not ashamed to say that, I can honestly say that most of the range is very good, but sadly this Tesco Value Cola is not one of them. If you remember the old Peter Kay jokes about the really cheap and nasty tasting Rola Cola of the 1990s, then I actually think that this may ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review bad quality, bad taste (162 words)

I would always be one to advocate buying a cheaper version of a product rather than the most obvious bland but this Tesco Value cola is unfortunately a step to far. There are lots of cheap brands of cola on the market which are great. For example, Tesco's own brand cola is very nice and I would buy it as a mixer instead of coke a cola ...  Read the complete review

Having adjusted quite well to Tesco Cola I decided to try this as it costs a mere 0.17 for a 2litre bottle and my hubby is a cola addict! Coming in a clear plastic bottle it has a white label round it with the traditional Tesco Value logo and the words sugar free cola - so very basic to look at. There is nothing nutritional ...  Read the complete review

Cheap Cola that tastes exactly like - Cheap Cola. Costs around the 14p mark, good for cleaning driveways oil residue, stubbourn stains but not so much for drinking. Premium Review Tesco Value Cola: Cheap and Nasty (280 words)
by - written on 24/01/09 (Very useful, 29 readings)
Rating:

I agree with other reviews that this stuff is quite cheap and nasty really, but then for 14p or however much it is, what does one really expect? That's a big difference from the £1.98 of Coca Cola and therefore for some people may be a viable option if they're living on a strict budget. I think Tesco Value Cola is more sweet than other ...  Read the complete review

Oh good lord yes! I tried this too a few weeks ago and it really is not worth going down that road! I know it might be cheap and we are in the midst of a credit crunch and all that but try and spend a few pence extra and go for the brand which actually makes you want to drink it. The taste is watery and very cheap and it feels nasty on the ...  Read the complete review

We bought this cola when we decided to do a "coke test"... basically we bought loads of different kinds of coke and drank them blindfolded to see if we could tell the difference. It was pretty easy to tell which one was the tesco value cola! It tasted like coke which has been sitting in the bottom of the bottle for weeks, only ...  Read the complete review

Financial crisis is a phrase that we are hearing more and more these days. In an attempt to watch the pennies I decided to try a cheaper brand than the usual Coca Cola. I wish I hadn't. The packaging is very simple and typical of the Tesco Value range: simple and no-nonsense. Coming in at just over 20p it is a very attractive buy. ...  Read the complete review
