A tesco value item I DO like! (Tesco Value Orange Juice)

After my recent spate of scathing reviews about tesco value items I've decided to review one I do like! They're not all bad it just depends on the products you choose. The tesco value orange juice is in fact very nice.

At 58p for a litre this is a value item, Del Monte orange juice is currently at about 90p a litre even in one of our discount shops so the tesco value option is definitely worth a try.

The box is as the picture, it has the tesco value logo on it, a picture of fresh oranges and a glass of juice with the calories (120 kcal), sugar (26g), fat (trace), saturates (0g) and salt (0g) per 250ml clearly marked at the bottom of the carton. So obviously from this we can see the sugar content is pretty high, but it is in all orange juice. It also states it is Gi low and suitable for vegetarians.

I've made the mistake before now of buying a cheaper version of orange juice only to find it is actually watered down and tastes like orange cordial. That's not the taste I'm after, if I wanted cordial I'd buy cordial.

So the taste test. This is pure orange juice, not watered down and you can tell this when you pour your first glass. It isn't a weak orange colour, it's very orange. It tastes fresh and sweet, not bitter like some other cheaper brands I've tried. It's easily as good as Del Monte, but nearly half the price.

I can highly recommend this product, it tastes as good as the more expensive brands and costs less. Perfect!
