These days lots of people are trying to make savings whereever they can and I am no different. As a family we are trying to cut our weekly food bill without cutting back on the quality of the food that we eat. Recently we decided to try Tesco value orange juice in place of our usual tesco concentrated juice. Tesco mainstream juice costs 88p for a 1 litre carton as opposed to just 58p for a litre carton of Tesco value orange juice.

I am no fan of the packaging of any of the Tesco value range. It looks very unappealing and I really don't see why it would add to the cost to spice it up a bit! Anyway that aside it is the taste that is really important! The carton is easy to open and the juice pours well. I really like this juice. It is not too sweet and is very smooth. The only negative is that it does taste a bit watery. However on looking at the ingredients panel the value juice consists of 100% concentrated orange -exactly the same as the more expensive main stream juice! It is only Tesco who deem this to be a value item! In face it is no diferent except for the price.

I like to drink Tesco value orange alone or it can be used as a mixer. As Christmas approaches I think you could do worse than to buy cartons of this value juice both to drink alone but especially for mixing with alcoholic drinks.
