Advantages: tastes nice, cheap
Disadvantages: can be a little sharp when you drink a lot of it
I stopped drinking orange juice for a long time after a particular incident with a carton of ASDA smart price juice which had a strip of mould in it. Let's just say, that put me off for a long, long time, but now about three years on, I feel brave enough to drink it again, and I ordered some Tesco Value Orange juice online recently.
The juice comes in a cardboard carton which features a picture of a sliced orange and a glass of orange juice, which makes it a bit more interesting than if it was a just a plain blue and red logo. It does have the Tesco Value logo in the top left hand corner, but it's actually quite discreet.
The juice is pure and made from concentrate, which means that it is made from 100% orange juice, and I much prefer this to any carbonated or watered down juices, which I often find sickly.
The juice is smooth - no bits in it - and is a nice strong orange colour. It has a lovely, quite strong fruity orange taste, and it does not taste watery or sickly sweet as some do. In fact perhaps the main criticism is that it is very tangy, which can sometimes make it a little bit sharp if you're drinking a large glass, but is not so noticeable in smaller quantities.
There is no doubt that you will find better orange juices on the market from the premium brands, such as Tropicana, but as value orange juices go, this is very good. I actually bought a bottle of Organic Orange Juice (I forget the brand) and I paid £1.69 for a small bottle (it was the only one available otherwise I wouldn't consider paying that) and it tasted absolutely vile - very watery and not at all orangey, so it was a surprise to me that this one tasted so much better.
You can buy this juice in either a 1 litre carton which costs 56p (quite competitive and the same price Lidl charge for theirs) or you can buy mini lunch-box sized cartons with straws which would be great for a kids packed lunch at 36p for 36p or nine cartons for £1.07.

Overall, if you're feeling the pinch like many of us are at the moment, then I would certainly recommend giving this a try and don't just knock it because of the 'Value' logo.
Summary: Give it a try
