Great tasting cheap orange juice (Tesco Value Orange Juice)

Advantages: Cheap, tastes great.

Disadvantages: Looks awful, doesn't have a resealable cap

It look cheap and nasty but tastes the complete opposite. This orange juice is one of the exceptions to the rule regarding value range foods. The carton looks basic, but when you open it and pure into your glass it tastes as good as of the leading brands within this market. For example Tropicana.

As far as price goes I don't think it can be beaten, if the price is beaten then I very much doubt that the taste will be the same. 56p was what I last bought it for and I've tried other cheaper orange juices, which were a little more expensive, and found that the Tesco Value Orange was still the best.

If you put aside the packaging, which lets face it doesn't look very good, as does the rest of the products in Tesco's value range, and you think more about the price then I think you should be pleased. I was. If the snobbish side in you comes out then you may look at it and think I'm not buying that! My advice to you is to give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised.

As for the taste its self it's not too bad, a nice smooth flow of orange juice, best served cold helps any breakfast go down better. There are other orange juices out there that come with 'bits' also known as pulpé. Depends on what your personal preference is.

I've seen rival juices for around £2.30, that's at least 4 of Tesco's value juice, saving you quite a bit of money.

Summary: Looks awful, taste great, it's as simple as that.
