Advantages: Tastes nice, is economical and I like the handy cartons it's availble in too

Disadvantages: Made me feel thristy after drinking it

Walking around Tesco today I was feeling really feeling thirsty and decided to stock up on some drinks. I go the gym and go out walking a lot but I hate to have to pay top notch prices for drinks and so like to take drinks with me to save a few pennies! I saw this drink first off in the 1 litre box in Tesco which costs 56p but for me that didn't seem very practical at all so I didn't think twice about getting that when I come across the very same juice (same packaging the lot) in a pack of 3 cartons and 200ml in size each costing 37p so I snaffled a pack of them up straight away!

The Packaging:

Like I say whether you opt to buy the 1 litre size or these they appear the same though of course mine is compact with a clear plastic straw attached to the side of it and a small hole to pop it through situated at the top. So the carton is dark blue and to the front and the back of it there is a picture of the juice and sliced oranges on it. On the front in red, white and blue writing I'm told it is Tesco 'Value' Pure Orange Juice, that it is suitable for Vegetarians, is GI Low, and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there. Other information on the carton includes ingredients, storage advice, nutritional information (in full) and contact details for Tesco are listed. It is a rather cheap looking carton but I always think it's product that counts not what it looks like lol. One small niggle I have with these small cartons is the straw. It isn't bendy? For kids this could be a pain cos they assume they are and then the juice is gonna fly everywhere as the straw is smaller than the hole. Like I say though minor niggle...this is though lol.

The Juice:

Well I was surprised at how nice and natural tasting this actually was! Light orange in colour, smooth and not too sweet it does taste of oranges and it doesn't taste faked or laden with sugar. It has a slight sourness to it and the only issue I had with it as that afterwards I felt a bit thirsty and needed to drink a lot of water to rehydrate myself though at the time it was nice enough to consume but for some reason this actually made me thirstier lol.

However it is refreshing (at the time of drinking it) and is simply what it is and that's a not so bad for you orange juice that tastes as such!

I don't think it's awful quality and I'll be happy enough to repurchase this in the future but in reality I do think there is a difference between this and the like of Tropicana and Del Monte however this only has a small price tag in comparison!
