Sometimes Simple is Better (Tesco Value Sparkling Water)

I drink a lot of water, in fact I spend a large proportion of my day at present guzzling down the stuff. I guess that could also have something to do with the mini heatwave at present, but it is an essential element in life right?

During the day while at work I will happily down gallons straight from the tap, much to the horror of some of my young work colleagues, who just can't bear the idea of using that fluid for anything other than flushing the toilet. They complain of a foul taste, which I can never detect. Maybe my taste buds are just hardened in some way.

Anyway Tesco Sparkling water is my one step up from the tap. Note that I choose sparkling not still. I have no idea where it comes from before the shelf. I do not for one moment care that it may not have been created on the side of a Scottish mountain, hand scooped by a fair maiden and her trusty goat, just before the break of dawn.

No, basically I like sparkling water and this one is one of the cheapest there is; currently retailing at 12 pence for 2 litres. It quenches my thirst and tickles my throat on the way down. Job done. The packaging is Tesco value and as basic as it can be. Well good, cause that keeps the price down. For those of you who like it even simpler there is of course the Still variety, which I have purchased by mistake a few times. It tastes fine but take out the fizz and we are back to the tap for me. Am I over simplifying this? No, hang on, it's just water after all.

If you like your designer gear and don't mind paying for it, then buy the expensive stuff with the fancy label. If you aren't bothered then buy this one at a fraction of the price.

Summary: For 12 pence you just can't get better
