Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: None

I don't usually drink bottled water when I'm at home, because they are quite expensive and somewhat not economical to do so. Because tap water is perfectly fine to consume, the quality can also be improved by using a water filter, this especially helps if you live in an area that is severely affected by the issue of "hard water".

I only find myself using bottled water when I go travelling or during holidays, because you can't be certain of the quality of the water at your accommodation or the surroundings. This is especially true if you go camping or leisure parks which sometimes lack these facilities.

I decided to use Tesco Value Still Water, whilst shopping for supplies for a short trip, the main reason for choosing it is because it is considerable cheaper than the other alternatives which were naturally more premium brands, that had Unique Selling Points (USP) such as sparking water, still water and many other terms which makes their product seem more superior than water.

The packaging of the product is basic as usual with the Tesco Value label printed clearly and the bulk of the labels in the Tesco colour scheme of red and blue. It does lack the graphic/images of mountains and wells that seem to make the water much more "magical".

Upon tasting the water, it was not exactly what I had expected. It is clear like normal water, however when you taste it, it has this odd taste that you don't usually get. However, it does not taste repulsive or dreadful, it is just abnormal. Since this is a basic and no frills alternative, you don't get that almost "magical" feeling which you do when you drink spring water or other premium brands.

Overall, I feel that this is quite a good choice for drinking. Firstly because of its price, which is less than 20p for a 2 litre bottle. This gets better during special offers or multi buys which can lower the price of a bottle to 10p or less.

Summary: A good choice for reasonably long road trips or camping holidays

I think it's awful, although my daughter really likes this water.

I agree, it tastes like plasticy water, vile rubbish. I'd sooner lick water from a muddy puddle with my tongue, than put that stuff down my throat.
