Advantages: Cheap, and a big bottle
Disadvantages: Very average water, heavy and bulky if you are carrying it around
Tesco Value Still Water
This is a product that I rarely buy, however when I have I have been very impressed with it. I am a firm believer of carrying a bottle of water around with you to avoid spending extra cash on things like water, which cost next to nothing at home but can be very expensive when you are out and about. This value water seems to be an exception to this rule however.
The amount you pay for water often isn't a fair refelction on the price it costs to produce it. Milk for example costs more to produce but sells for less than water, simply because people are willing to pay more for bottled water than bottled milk. The price of this water however is very cheap and is a great way to keep refreshed on the go.
The taste isn't quite as crisp as you get from a bottle of mineral water, but stills tastes almost as good a regular tap water, and for the price is a great choice when you are on the go.
I usually see a bottle priced like this for around 18 pence, so often it can be up to 80% cheaper than a smaller bottle of mineral water.
Agreed that you don't look 'cool' carrying around a big bottle with you, buy if you just need to fill up an empty bottle you have, or you just want a quick drink, it's worth this and just throwing the rest away (obviously not great for the environment, but great for your wallet!)
A good pruchase, and a great way to save money
Summary: A good puchase to save cash on the go

- 23/10/09 I agree completely, very unethical and very bad for the environment, but I would rather drink half of this and spend 20p than spend £1.00 for 300ml of volvic or whatever, and send the other 80p to the developing world.
Volvic for example has been shipped over from France, wasting energy and fuel and polluting the environment, which some would argue is also unethical. |

What a truly silly suggestion. People die from dehydration in the developing world every day and you're advocating taking a quick swig from a 2 litre bottle and then chucking the rest? Hardly ethical. |
