... packaging is not at all eye catching. The box holds 80 tea bags which usually lasts around two weeks in my house. The price of the box was around 30 pence. The tea bags don't have any sort of protective wrapper to keep them fresh the way that other brands have a foil bag or something. I thought that once I had boiled the kettle and poured the boiling water into a cup with one of these tea bags that it was going to take ages to stew into a nice cuppa but it actually didn't take to long at all once I stirred it a...more

Premium Review Tesco Value Tea Bags: A VALUE CUPPA (446 words)

As the pennies have becoming a bit tight with Christmas on the way I have tried my best to cut corners when it comes to my weekly shop. My usual brand of tea bags is the PG tips band but I was looking to try cheaper brands for some of my items when I was in the large Tesco supermarket near my home the other day. I weighed up my options and eventually chose the Tesco Value brand of tea bags. The Tesco Value tea bags are packaged in a plain white box with a sellophane wrapper around the outside. The print on the box is a navy blue and red design, and this is the case with all items in the Tesco Value range of products. I find that the packaging is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Make Tea Too Weak To Pour Out Of The Cup (327 words)

I drink a lot of tea and so I like to buy teabags with a good taste. I have tried cheap supermarket own brand ones before and I thought I couldn't possibly buy any worse than Asda Pricewise ones. I was wrong. Tesco value teabags are very weak and you honestly would never know you were drinking tea unless someone told you so. The problem is that these teabags are filled with tea dust and the other bits that are left over after the decent stuff has been processed. If you shake these teabags, or look into the bottom of the box you will see the dust. It is impossible to get a decent cup of tea with one of these and even with two it is still not good. ...  Read the complete review

Tea, it has always been not only a routine in my daily but a huge part of my life. From the start of the day till the end. On most days, I can't seem to consume coffee first thing in the morning, which has led me to find the other alternative of drinking tea. In my opinion, tea is such a great drink, it just seems to be perfect for any time of the time, breakfast, lunch, dinner and even supper. Therefore I always a good stock of them, because I hate running out of any food supplies and be forced to travel to the shop to purchase them at a time which would be inconvenient for me. Being a regular drinker of PG tea and other brands, I felt that I ...  Read the complete review

I am usually a PG Tips girl if I am completely honest, but on my Tesco Brand Mission i figure I would try Tesco Value Tea Bags 23p for 80 who can go wrong. The box is very simple and quite cheap looking (but we will not judge a book by its cover) white with the Tesco logo in the corner and 80 Tea Bags written across the front with a picture of a cup of tea. On the back of the box is Preparation Guildlines, Storage suggestions and Tesco address and Promise. After my morning shop and after I had put little man down for a nap I decided I would give my new product a review. The box was wrapped in celophane which was easy to remove, you open ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Tea Bags: How many bags to make it strong enough for you? (455 words)

I love a good cup of tea first thing in the morning to wake me up. Once I have had one, I can then relax for a bit, or get ready for work, and know that the tea will start working its magic and I'll have my energy levels boosted, and then drink coffee throughout the day to maintain these levels, plus I like the taste. But it has to start with tea, and for it to work, the tea does need to go some way to waking me up and also tasting half decent. Tesco Value is a decent range, on the whole, and while this product is incredibly cheap, at 30p or so for 80 bags, you need to use about 3 to make one cup of tea taste decent in strength. The teabags themselves are ...  Read the complete review

Tastes quite natural, nice level of fizziness, good strength of ginger Is still an own brand and there are better tastes out there in the premium glass bottled versions

Very cheap, the fizz lasts long, tastes fine Be careful when opening!

Hint of fruitiness, refreshing taste, thirst quenching I really can't think of any
