I have spent several years of my life living in Assam (India) so it is needless to say that I prefer a nice cup of tea at least twice a day . The closet I have come to a good Indian cuppa would be a home made brew from a home made blend of Assam , Ceylonese and Darjeeling. Though to be honest I don't always have so much time in my hand to brew tea in the traditional way and then scourse and clean the sauce-pan and the teapot as well, so I had reached out for the teabags available . I was quite happy with pg tips classic till we bought a new home some three years back. The water in this new region is very hard and pg-tips just had lost its taste , ... Read the complete review

I have been locked away in the lab all week with this experiment and came out with what I would expect to be the natural outcome! I am a born natural lover of tea and take it very seriously although I like my ordinary tea for normal every day use, except my Earl Grey at breakfast time of course. So when I thought of the next experiment it had to be a good one when it came to tea. I had recently bought a jar of Tetley Freeze Dried tea, as I thought it would come in handy for the times I has no tea bags left. I thought that this could be a good experiment to test something that I really enjoy. A jar of freeze-dried tea contains 80 cups ... Read the complete review

Okay, tea. Yeah – so what, I hear you cry. Tea's Tea isn't it? Well, let me tell you. As a man who like his cups of tea, especially first thing in the morning, it's so important that you drink something good. Over the years... Not that that there have really been many of them yet. Or am I older than I like to think? <sob> I digress ...I have tasted a number of different, traditional, teas. I'm not talking about your Darjeeling, or your Earl Grey, or even you Green Leaf, no, I'm simply talking about your everyday normal cuppa. I've tried PG Tips, in fancy shaped bags ... For over five years we have been regular users of Tetley Tea Bags and we do feel that this is the best tea bag currently on the market. I suppose about once a year we will probably try another brand, perhaps being tempted by a special offer or trying a different make when we are on holiday but we always return to Tetley. Although some other brands are OK we do not feel that they make the tea that we like. The round Tetley bags do not make the strongest tea, but we do not like strong tea, so that is fine for us. The tea bags do brew very quickly so you are not waiting for ages for the tea to “mash”, or having to stir the water in the tea pot ... Read the complete review

I'm not really a tea drinker but I do sometimes have a 'coffee free' day or two to get my system back in order. THey say that tea and coffee contain the same amount of caffeine but there's something in coffee that keeps me awake! This is where Teley's Teabags come in useful. I always buy the round ones. Don't really know why but I suppose they look neater at the bottom of a cup. I don't actually think the shape make any difference to the taste. Tetleys round bags are not the strongest of tea but this suits me well as I don't like strong tea anyway. If you leave the bag in the cup for too long even these develop a bitter taste ...
