Tetley Green Tea with Lemon

Having recently been impressed with Tetley’s Peppermint Punch, I decided to try another one of it’s alternatives to conventional tea, “Green tea and Lemon”. Like the Pepppermint Punch, these bags come in a small cardboard tube with a plastic lid and a foil layer inside to keep them fresh. My teabags cost 79 Pence for twenty-five bags (at Morrisons). On the packaging, Tetley claim “We have combined a light delicate green tea with the zesty freshness of lemons, to create a blend that will make you sparkle.” Let’s give it a try…. A short while ago I tried a different eating regime to try and combat my lack of energy and one of the things which I avoided was tea (together with all other stimulants – coffee, alcohol etc.) Mostly I drank camomile tea with the occasional other flavour just for a change. A number of years back when i had more willpower and motivation than i do now, i lost nearly 3 stone in weight following the Weightwatchers plan. The main things i did were exercise, cut down on my saturated fat and drunk loads of green tea! I felt better for it and had a lot more energy. Ive put all the weight back on over the past year as ive had depression and been comfort eating a lot. Bought a tub of 25 tea bags for 39p in Home Bargains. I do love a good cup of green tea but usually stick to own brands but I could not pass up the great offer I had found so picked up a pot and popped the kettle on. I have been suffering with a cold lately and I was told about hot water and lemon being a help, so I figured that the lemon in the green tea would be an added bonus. I was recently diagnosed with allergies to coffee and dairy so I've been looking for an alternative to my daily two cups of coffee. I find herbal teas disgusting and I can drink black tea without milk only if I add freshly squeezed lemon juice. Since I don't fancy storing and squeezing lemons at work, I thought I would to try this flavoured green tea.
