Advantages: Refreshing, great packaging

Disadvantages: Green tea isn't to everyone's taste

***Packaging***
The teabags come in a circular package/ tin with a green plastic lid. There is also a foil lid to peel off in order to keep the teabags fresh and full of flavour I really like the packaging as its good to keep in my drawer in my desk. Other green teas come in a cardboard box which I don't like so much as they are not so durable and if they are kept in my desk drawer end up taking such a battering. The package of the Tetley product is very durable.

***Price***
For 25 tea bags, expect to pay around 99p in most Supermarkets. Asda have this on special for £0.74 at the moment and the product is on special on quite a regular basis.

***Aroma***
When it comes to peeling back the foil seal, you get a strong lemony blast which I find very nice a fruity smell.

When the tea bag is in the cup, initially there is a very strong lemon smell and a slight hint of green tea which is more of a stronger smell than normal tea. The lemon smell is very refreshing and remains throughout the whole cup of tea.

***Look***

Now this is a major disadvantage. The tea does not look at all appealing. It's a brown / reddish colour which looks quite murky, if you keep the tea bag in the cup like I do... it gets extremely murky ... a bit like a muddy pond!

***Taste***

When making the tea I pop the tea bag in the cup first then . In order to have quite a strong flavour I keep the tea bag in the cup as I drink the tea. About half way down I have to take the teabag out as the taste gets extremely strong, less lemony and more like green tea which can taste quite strong and a little bit sickly. Like with most fruit teas the taste is very different to the smell almost slightly bland in comparison to the strong aroma

***Health Benefits***

One of the girls I work with swears by this. After Christmas she goes on a "detox" and drinks a minimum of 5 cups per day. And claims that after 2 weeks of just drinking this and making no other changes she has lost 3lbs. I don't think this will be the case for everyone and I'm not convinced it's a magic cure to weight loss but it does certainly have health benefits being an antioxidant. There are a lot of "Scientific" claims that it does in fact speed up your metabolism by 10% .

One thing I did notice drinking this is that because it is an antioxidant, you do need to go to the toilet A LOT! Which isn't a good thing if you are stuck in a two hour meeting and feel like you are going to wet yourself!!

***Overall***

Don't expect miracles to happen after drinking this stuff. I think green tea is a love it or hate it thing (a bit like Marmite). If you hate it but want the "health benefits" you are going to have to put up with the taste. Tetley's Green Tea with Lemon, certainly makes drinking green tea a bit easier as I feel green tea on its own is quite difficult to drink. The lemon taste is very refreshing and gives a strong aroma. Personally I like green tea but be warned if you have never drank green tea before it might be repulsive and "a bit like pond water" as my boyfriend would describe it.

Summary: A very refreshing green tea

I'm a Tetley Tea Drinker - but find Green Tea (of any make) disgusting! I guess it only suits certain people. A bit like marmite!:-)
