Bought a tub of 25 tea bags for 39p in Home Bargains. I do love a good cup of green tea but usually stick to own brands but I could not pass up the great offer I had found so picked up a pot and popped the kettle on.

I have been suffering with a cold lately and I was told about hot water and lemon being a help, so I figured that the lemon in the green tea would be an added bonus.

I like my flavored and herbal teas quite strong so after brewing the kettle I like to let the bag stand for 2 minutes or so before wringing it out and removing it.

As a side not and a double benefit to the buy, cooled green tea, tea bags have been used to reduce puffiness around the eyes so think about giving it a go before you get rid of the tea bag, just make sure they have been cooled!

Onto the tea! I cannot drink it hot so I leave it to cool for around 20mins, it gets to the perfect temperature, still hot but not scolding enough to send my tongue running from my mouth into the nearest ice bucket! It has a strong but smooth taste that leaves no bitterness in your mouth as others can do. The taste of the lemon is stronger than I expected but not completely over powering. It leaves a very refreshing taste in your mouth and Id like to think it helped with my cold. I find it can be rejuvenating first thing in the morning, comforting as the winter sets in and relaxing of an evening.

As green teas go, this is one of my favorites, especially when I can get it at such a bargain price. However, I am not sure I would pay supermarket prices for this product. The size of the tub is perfect for the luggage if you want to take some away with you (I always do!). Tetley has concocted a perfect blend.

Summary: The greenest and fairest of them all!
